Job Reference 1191228 Location Rodeo, California, United States Industry Oil & Gas - Downstream Function IT & Telecoms Job Type Contract Date Added July 6, 2023 Our major client is seeking an IT Support Analyst I to work within their facilities located in Rodeo, CA for a 6-month assignment.
The IT Support Analyst will provide technical support to business users at the refinery, midstream, and other offices in the San Francisco support area.
This is an entry level desktop support position that will be responsible for troubleshooting, managing, monitoring, and providing hands on support for desktop computers, iPad and iPhones, and assisting users with common office applications.
The role will report to the San Francisco IT Area Lead and will participate in corporate technical knowledge sharing/best practice network teams.
Responsibilities:
oProviding reliable and efficient end user support for personal computing environments and critical business applications.
oTroubleshooting and mitigating build, application, and system performance issues.
oBuilding and maintaining relationships with technical partners in the business.
oCoordinating resources and suppliers to complete projects and work requests.
oCollaborating with central infrastructure and Regional Infrastructure Analyst to assist with hardware refresh activities.
oAble to identify process improvements and propagate best practices.
oOptimize IT service delivery by improving reliability, efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness of defined components of services while following corporate standards and safety practices.
oProviding as network infrastructure maintenance and support.
oTrack and maintain IT hardware.
oMaintain service delivery while following safety practices.
oMaintaining documentation of supported systems.
oAble to actively participate in an after-hours (call-out) schedule in support of critical systems and infrastructure.
Qualifications:
oHigh school diploma or GED equivalent o2 or more years of experience in applicable Information Technology discipline o1 or more years of direct experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Operating Systems oProven ability and willingness to provide day-to-day and after-hours support (24x7) as appropriate oAbility to safely operate a motor vehicle in the refinery around process equipment oCompliance with refinery safety requirements including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary.

oAble to lift computer equipment that weighs up to 30 lbs.

oAble to push/pull equipment on a cart of up to 100 lbs.
oAble to climb 4 or more flights of stairs to access field hardware oWilling and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
